Edith Collyer
Edith lived with her husband, William Henry Collyer in Kings Newton House, Kings Newton.
She died in April 1951, aged 63. Her husband, who was a retired market gardener had the stained glass window provided, in her memory.Edith was a Member of the Church Branch of the Mothers' Union and the Diocesan President of the Union.
Mr Collyer founded the Market Gardening firm of W H Collyer & son of Kings Newton. He was the People's Warden at Melbourne Church from 1938, as well as on the Church Council, he later became Treasurer.
He donated a W H Collier Challenge Cup for the local competitor gaining the highest marks in the junior section of the Melbourne Music Festival.
